Sonia Suri, DDS

Dr. Sonia Suri is an Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon who grew up in Northern Virginia. She graduated from the University of Virginia with a degree in Biology. As she was always interested in the fusion of medicine and art, she chose to begin her healthcare journey in New York. She obtained a Doctorate of Dental Surgery (DDS) from the Touro College of Dental Medicine.

Dr. Suri then completed a rigorous full-scope Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery (OMFS) internship and residency program at the University of California, San Francisco – Fresno (UCSF-Fresno). During this time, the majority of her clinical training was at Community Regional Medical Center, the only Level I Trauma Center in Central California. The UCSF-Fresno OMFS service was the only Head & Neck Service on call at this hospital. As part of her training, she also took call at the other local hospitals including Clovis Community Medical Center, Saint Agnes Medical Center, and the Veteran’s Affairs Central California Health Care System.

Dr. Suri gained extensive clinical training in maxillofacial trauma, pathology, dentoalveolar surgery, dental implants, corrective jaw surgery, reconstructive & cosmetic maxillofacial surgery, infections, emergency airway management, sleep apnea, temporomandibular joint (TMJ) disorders, and anesthesia.

Dr. Suri’s goal is not just to deliver exceptional surgical results, but also to create an enjoyable experience for everyone she treats. She believes that the best outcomes start with clear communication. She takes the time to walk each patient through their procedure from the first consultation to the final follow-up. Patients describe Dr. Suri as approachable and genuinely invested in their well-being. She wants to ensure that people feel confident, comfortable, and supported every step of the way.

In her leisure time, Dr. Suri enjoys spending time with her family and friends. She has two cats (that were gifted to her by a kind patient during her residency training). She stays physically active with weightlifting, rock climbing, and hiking. She enjoys learning about new cultures while traveling globally. Her other hobbies include reading, dancing, drawing, and painting.
