Dr. Evan Shipp

Dr. Evan Shipp is a board certified Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon. He grew up in Chattanooga, TN and graduated from the University of Tennessee with a degree in Psychology. He pursued his Doctorate of Dental Surgery (DDS) at the University of California San Francisco. He then completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency at Bolling Air Force Base in Washington DC. He practiced general dentistry for three years before completing his Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery residency at the San Antonio Military Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery program. This training program is a hospital based program in the Department of Defense’s only level 1 trauma center. Dr. Shipp was trained in the full scope of the specialty with a large volume of cosmetic, implant and reconstructive procedures. After graduating in 2020 he remained on as teaching staff in the San Antonio Military oral surgery residency for three years before moving to the DC area in the summer of 2023.

Dr. Shipp is currently in the United States Air Force and is on the teaching staff for the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Residency. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and a fellow of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, and a member of the American Dental Association and the Virginia Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons.

Away from the office, Dr. Shipp is an avid golfer and enjoys spending time with his wife and two dogs.
